5 Steps to go from Surviving to Thriving
STEP 1: Connect the dots between who you are and who you want to be.We’ll explore and identify: · How satisfied you are in all aspects of your life. · What your stressors are. · How stress and anxiety impact your life. · What holds you back. · What brings you joy. We use the Wheel of Life, Wheel of Stress and Anxiety and the Wheel of Joy to create a visual picture. This work helps you narrow down where your attention is needed the most. To take away feeling overwhelmed as to where to start your transformation.
STEP 2: Values – Vision – GoalsGet to know yourself. Find your values that are non-negotiable. Life is filled with compromise. Once you are aware, what some of your most important values are in life, it will be easier to set boundaries. To find balance in your life. Create a vision that inspires you. A vision for the next weeks or month or even a year. It all depends how far you’d like to look into the future. There is no right or wrong here. Just what is right for you right now. Set Goals and action steps that are manageable and enjoyable. That serve your unique personality and needs.
STEP 3: Nourishing Body, Mind and SoulThis is such an important part of healing and thriving. Maybe you have started already focusing on these areas but need more fine tuning or encouragement. Let’s explore your nutrition. exercise and sleep patterns. As you can tell, I am not talking about diets here. Diets are pretty names. They might work for one person but not another. The same holds true for exercise and sleep. Minimize the impact of stress and anxiety in your life. Learn tools to not only cope but be pro-active in prevention. Learn how to be aware of your emotions, how to acknowledge them and regulate them. Get to know your triggers. How to diffuse them and manage your emotions in a healthy positive way. What feeds your soul? Your spirituality?
STEP 4: Be empowered – overcome limiting beliefsWhat are your limiting beliefs you acquired throughout your life? These may be learned thoughts and behaviours from childhood. Or absorbed through relationships or work environments. Dive deep into your limiting beliefs. No judging here. We all have limiting beliefs. Limiting beliefs are powerful and can restrict our ability to change. Find ways to release what is keeping you stuck. Become resilient.
STEP 5: Self-Love and Self-Care equals Self-RespectEmbrace what matters most to you. Set boundaries and put yourself first. Get rid of habits that are not serving you. Pursue your dreams. What gives your life meaning? What is your life’s purpose? Practicing self-love and self-care does not mean you abandon your principles of loving and caring for other people. You are giving yourself permission to show self-respect. To put yourself first. This is a challenging part of self-empowerment and healing as caring for others and multi-tasking seems to be part of our DNA. Your work of exploration and transformation helps you embrace self-love and self-care. You will walk confident and empowered through life.
